Air Pollution Control Funding Opportunity Available Through MO DNR
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ Air Pollution Control Program is currently accepting applications for the replacement or repowering of large diesel trucks (including emergency response vehicles), school buses, and other eligible diesel equipment using Volkswagen (VW) Trust funds.
Other eligible projects can include:
Transit/shuttle buses
Locomotives
Marine vessels
Cargo handling equipment
Airport ground support
Forklifts
Applications for Diesel Emission Reduction Act (DERA) Funding are also being accepted.
Applicants who own 1992-2009 engine model year diesel vehicles (trucks) are eligible to receive up to 40 percent of the cost of a new engine, or 25 percent of the cost of a new vehicle. Other categories may receive up to 75 percent of the cost for their project.
Awarded applicants must permanently disable the old vehicle or engine.
