The application period for the FY 2020 HMA Grant Application, including Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) and Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) grant programs is now open. To apply, FEMA Grant Outcomes (FEMA GO), the new system FEMA is using for applicants and subapplicants to apply for, track, and manage all non-disaster HMA grants must be used.
Two new features were released prior to the application period opening, including the ability to create Grant Applications and review subapplications. Subapplicants should work with their applicant Point of Contact (POC), such as their State Hazard Mitigation Officer (SHMO), to register in FEMA GO. To access the step-by-step instructional desktop guide that outlines the process to register and create an account in FEMA GO please visit www.fema.gov/grants/guidance-tools/fema-go.
FEMA’s HMA Division will continue to conduct outreach to facilitate instructional sessions to help applicants accomplish these tasks in the new FEMA GO system. They will also post instructional videos on FEMA’s YouTube Channel, as well as ensure a robust collection of readily accessible FEMA GO materials, be posted on FEMA.gov.
The FEMA GO system will replace the legacy Mitigation eGrants (MT eGrants) system and must be used to apply for BRIC and FMA funding beginning fiscal year 2020. MT eGrants will remain online to manage fiscal year 2019 and prior year FMA and PDM grants.
