Missouri SEMA along with Washington University in St. Louis – Emergency Management, is pleased to announce the opening of the FEMA Basic Academy offering in Missouri.
Priority of FEMA’s Basic Academy Certificate:
Completion of all five courses collectively qualify a student for certificate of completion:
L101 Foundations of Emergency Management
L102 Science of Disaster
L103 Planning: Emergency Operations
L146 Homeland Security Exercise Evaluation Program (HSEEP)
L105 Public Information & Warning
Missouri’s FEMA Basic Academy Offering:
When: October 30th from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
Where: The Community Room at Fire Station 81405 S. Scenic, Springfield.
If you were not able to make it to the first workshop, this will be another chance for you to work on and get credit for the THIRA.
When: Wednesday the 16th at 9:00 am.
Where: MU Southwest Research Center

When: Wednesday, the 9th at 10:00 am.
Where: The Opera House,
Water St & Allison St, Greenfield.
It is a requirement to be involved in the THIRA process for those getting EMPG funding and strongly encouraged for those who will be submitting future HSGP applications.
