Help ensure ALL members of our community get counted in the 2020 Census!

Join NALEO Educational Fund, Southwest Missouri Complete Count
Committee, and the Southwest Missouri Council of Governments for a Comprehensive 2020 Census Community Training.

Participate in this Community Training workshop which is one of several being hosted across the country to become a Certified Census Ambassador...

You may notice Census workers in your community this month as they canvass addresses.

From August 4 through October 18, you may see employees walking your streets with a Census Bureau badge, laptop, and bag as they verify addresses. It is critical to have a complete master address list so the Bureau can reach every person living in the country and invite them to respond to the 2020 Census.

It is important to note that this is not the census count and no personal data on individuals will be collected.

Several SMCOG communities have expressed the need to find housing solutions for their communities from property maintenance issues, to workforce housing shortages, and high development costs. SMCOG seeks to explore what resources are currently available for housing needs within the region, whether these issues are widespread across SW Missouri or if they are specific to these communities, and identify gaps in resources.
